The Red Rock Ranch in Southeastern Idaho, solid long-time commercial cattle operation located between Preston and Downey, Idaho, is now available to facilitate retirement and estate planning after 46 years of successful ownership.
The Red Rock Ranch has an approximate annual carrying capacity of about 450 Animal Units: 375 brood cows + 55 replacement heifers + 20 range bulls.
The Ranch is comprised of about 2,878 deeded acres in the Home Place plus five strategically-situated pastures containing approximately 1,234 acres totaling about 4,112 deeded acres.
Additionally, the Ranch has federal summer grazing permits for 184 head of cattle plus shares in private grazing associations for 273 head. This outside grazing use typically runs from approximately June 1 through September 30 annually.
The owner’s home is comfortable and in good repair. The working improvements are adequate and complimented by a solid set of corrals and a newer metal calving barn.
The range fencing is in good shape. Livestock water has been wisely developed on springs and wells.
