This productive hay, grain and grazing operation is located about 24 miles southwest of Snowville near the remains of the historic Kelton Union Pacific Siding. The Ranch currently irrigates about 1,745 acres from 15 adjudicated wells and Indian Creek – an intermittent stream flowing off of the Raft River Range which provides early season irrigation water. The wells produce approximately 10,000 GPM. The Ranch currently operates 14 newer center pivots plus one wheel-line and two hand-lines. It has sufficient water rights to develop about 360 acres of additional irrigated land. All wells and pivots are interconnected and valved to efficiently manage water distribution. The majority of the irrigated land has recently been or will be rotated back into alfalfa while some grass hay and triticale remain.
This turnkey operation has a larger 1980s brick owner or manager home – with a swimming pool – plus two newer employee homes and two older employee homes plus a machine shop and storage buildings. The Ranch also handles fall-winter-spring cattle grazing with numerous year ’round stock troughs plus recently-built corrals and a calving barn.
